I use Pidgin 2.4.1, I have this bug too. Thank you for showing me the status.xml file path (I was seeking a .pindgin folder rather than a .purple). Will it be corrected in the next release (i.e. the statuses added by typing on the keyboard will be manageable the same way Saved statuses are) ?
