Hi, sorry for a bad bug submission; i did it in haste. Today, when i booted up my machine it worked first try, however last night it too three tries to get the desktop up. Anyway, i looked fo ~/.xsession-errors and there was no such folder (maybe because it worked?). But i have a HP/Compaq NC8430 Laptop (i think with standard equipment) which has an ATI (AMD) Radeon x1600 i believe.
