I can also confirm this behaviour. I have only been seeing this for the
last few days.

This may be related to:  
1. the fact that I changed the preference under Software Sources from a Daily 
Check for updates to a Weekly Check. I am now reverting that to see if the 
message disappears.  Or: 
2. the Elisa (fluendo) repository that synaptics hasn't been able to resolve 
the last few weeks. This is because they still have to build packages for 
Hardy. 

For now, I believe 1.  is the source of this error.
