Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image
Hi, I have a Thinkpad T60 with integrated accelerometers, fully supported in Hardy 64 bits (8.04.1) by using hdaps_ec.ko (tp_smapi) The problem is that the kernel is not patched to also nable /sys/block/sda/queue/protect in order to park heads while moving the laptop (I think thats the original intention for hdaps_ec, apart for games). Currently to enable this I have to manually patch the kernel and rebuild the image and modules, using the attached patches. It would be interesting to include it in a future update. ** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Integrate hdaps_protect for hard disk protection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/256817 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
