Public bug reported:

I am running both hardy and intrepid on my computer. Running in Hardy,
the card works fine. In Intrepid about 4 or 5 days ago I ran an update
and the wireless card doesn't work. I suspect it is a change in the
kernel.

Network manager icon does not appear in the bar in ubuntu and when I try
and connect using the command line it doesn't connect.

Commands I typed :
{{{
ifconfig wlan0 down
iwconfig wlan0 essid 'senn09'
iwconfig wlan0 key "01020304050607080a0b0c0d0e"
iwconfig wlan0 key "00000000000000000000000000"
ifconfig wlan0 down
ifconfig wlan0 up
dhclient wlan0
}}}

This clip is from hardy ( dmesg ) :
