Confirming it's still a problem with Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) and its kernel
2.6.17-10-generic!
Appending lpj=8000000 at boot fixes this 100% of the time for my 2.0GHz
MacBook. The number for the 1.83 should be lower. Thanks to Ryan Lortie
for the information.
