Fresh install of Ubuntu 8.04 on an Asus 3000 laptop with BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g]
Used b43-fwcutter to install wifi driver and I could connect to the WPA AP at my parents home, altough the available AP's don't show up in the gnome network dialog, as they do on my other (centrino) laptop. But now I can't connect to the WEP AP here or the open wifi (but that has a weak signal). DHCP is not working, so i tought: ill give myself a static ip. Problem still there, I can't ping the gateway.
