Thank you for taking your time to file this bug. When I try to open the
file, it opens the text import wizard as it does with all Office 2003
files. When I rename the file to .xml, it opens in Calc as how XML files
are opened.
Think this is a normal behavior as file extension change from .xls to
.xml indeed means a change in way the file is to be handled. Again,
similar to bug #255374, the file is saved by BIRT and not by Office
2003, so it may not be doing it properly. Closing this bug, but feel
free to open if you can confirm otherwise.
