I didn't think about that, but that would probably make sense if you want to make things portable. However, there is a bunch of /proc entries already being used in casper and casper-helpers, and /proc/mount in particular. Should we try to get rid of these? grep -r /proc/ scripts also reveals a couple of uses of "head" which is not available in the initrd by the way. Want patches?
