Thanks, but there is still something not right:

'sudo -s ls | cut -d. -f1 | xargs -n1 modprobe'

/bin/ls: /bin/ls: cannot execute binary file

A listing of modprobe usage comes afterwards. This is waaay beyond my
limited knowledge. Any ideas?
