i ran /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd -r too but nothing happened. So i Ctrl+c. I tested on several ftp servers and it never worked since Hardy+gvfs (I started to test this feature since the firtst alphas). Worked like a charm on Gutsy. Well it worked with hardy on ftp servers without a login like iso repositories of ubuntu.
