I found a workaround to get my T60 to suspend. There are two steps: first, install powersaved and kpowersave and use it instead of the built-in powermanager. second, install the attached deb for uswsusp. The uswsusp in the repositories (version 0.2) doesn't work. I built the package with the sources from http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/u/uswsusp/ and with pbuilder (the .deb provided there depends on libgpg-error0-1.4, edgy has 1.2-1).
With this, my laptop suspends and resumes very reliably. ** Attachment added: ".deb packaged by me with pbuilder" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4938173/uswsusp_0.3%7Ecvs20060928-2_i386.deb -- Thinkpad T60 doesn't suspend after upgrade to edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/67534 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
