Public bug reported:

I'm running Xubuntu 8.04 from my USB drive and thought installing ramlog
might lengthen its lifetime. Unfortunately there was some error
installing it, so I decided to remove it, however:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get remove ramlog

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  ramlog

1 not fully installed or removed.
After this operation, 262kB disk space will be freed.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

The biggest annoyance is that removing ramlog is marked by default in
Synaptic, and because it won't uninstall I can't do anything else (like
installing, etc.).

Of course there's no /boot/grub/menu.lst since this is essentially a
LiveCD, but this should not prevent me from installing or removing other
packages.

Oh, and after I selected "ramlog" as the source package Launchpad told
me ""ramlog" does not exist in Ubuntu. Please choose a different
package. If you're unsure, please select "I don't know"", but I suppose
that's food for a bugreport on Launchpad.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache policy ramlog
