I have just updated to latest versions of all packages in Kubuntu Hardy. I don't know how to apply the patch mentioned in this bug.
I cannot send a file from my N95 to my desktop, which is my original problem that brought me to this bug, via Onkar's link at another related bug. Vice versa works as before - I can push an image from desktop to N95. Browsing also works fine, which can be used as a rather complicated workaround to sending files. I can't say out of memory if browsing worked or didn't work before, but now it works. So yes, most definitely, this bug is still open, NOT fixed, at least where currently available binary packages are concerned.
