Had another go and it looks like it works, if I delete and recreate the
destination partition.

I'll also attach a debug log from the failed attempt.

** Description changed:

  When installing Edgy from the live CD, when selecting mount locations
- for partitions, I get the error 'No root partition selected' even though

  hda1 Not mounted (contains my current 6.06 install)
  hda2 "extended"
  hda3 "/" (reformat selected)
  hda5 swap (reformat selected)
