Binary package hint: nvidia-glx
When using the latest NVIDIA Driver from the repositories (173.14.09) or from
the NVIDIA Homepage (173.14.12) I always hear a high frequency tone. It's very
loud and annoying. When I tried the nv and vesa driver, the sound disappeares,
but then I'm not able to use 3D Effects or 3D applications.
Is there known any solution for this problem?
My System:
O/S: Ubuntu Hardy Heron
MB: ASUS P5N-e
CPU: Intel E8500
Graphic Adapter: ASUS Nvidia EN 8600 GT, 256 MB DDR3
