I was on holidays, anyway resumed my testing yesterday night but I have no good news: 10X performance hit when copying an ISO with syncio vs copying the ISO without syncio...
I will have to try again today to confirm, there might be something wrong with my testing rig. Not sure yet what is different since last test (might it be that then I forgot to upgrade libntfs3g?).
