Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cupsys
I installed a network printer using its IPP-Url via system-config-printer, printing the test page works. As name shown on the left side I used <printername>2 since I have 2 printers in different enviroments with the same name(no I can't change them). If want to print a document from a GUI-App(Gtk...), the following line occurs in /var/log/cups/access_log localhost - - [29/Jul/2008:12:01:53 +0200] "POST /printers/<printername>2 HTTP/1.1" 200 98401 Print-Job client-error-not- found but the supplied IPP-Url is: ipp://<host>:631/printers/<printername> Delete the other printer and saving a copy of this printer with alias=printername, everything works.... ** Affects: cupsys (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: alias ipp ** Description changed: Binary package hint: cupsys I installed a network printer using its IPP-Url via system-config-printer, printing the test page works.
