Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

sounded kind of similar to #140763, but different enough for a new
bug...

On a Lenovo T61, resume from suspend takes around 2min32sec if "roaming" mode
is turned off and DHCP selected in network manager for the wireless interface.
If I turn roaming mode back on, then it's around 12 seconds, i.e excellent!

This is from pressing the button, to the password box reappearing, with
the intervening time being the flashing underscore in the top left hand
corner.

The problem seems to be resuming the wireless card... dmesg says (from
the first reference to network stuff... )
