Hi, I checked the build sources, this patch is already included in the ubuntu nethack package (via Debian). Look in /var/games/nethack/dumps/ for dump files. (I was not able to get the 'dumpfile' nethackrc option to work, but that just may be user error on my part, dumps do show up in the folder mentioned for me, though).
