Public bug reported: I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop running pure up-to-date Hardy 32-bit. Sometimes when I try to log out via System -> Quit -> Log Out, nothing happens. i.e., the Quit menu closes but I stay logged-in and everything is still running, as if I had just canceled. When I do System -> Quit -> Log Out a second time, it then works.
This doesn't happen all the time, but it happens fairly often (at least, relative to how often I log out, which is not a whole lot). Note though that I have never needed to try to log out a third time. It always works by the second time. And it might be that it happens with the other actions in the quit menu too, but I do those even less so I can't really say. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1 Release: 8.04 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Sometimes System -> Quit -> Log Out must be done twice for anything to happen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/252035 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
