Confirming this occurs, and has been occurring for a while. Using Ubuntu 8.04 Desktop AMD64, kernel 2.6.24-19.36 (generic), with repo-provided binary NVIDIA drivers and Compiz-Fusion enabled. All updates have been installed and I'm using Evolution 2.22.3.1. This issue was also mentioned here:
