In my latest tests, I reverted the xorg.conf back to the previous state without the Xaa options.
I've been testing with flashplugin-nonfree, gnash and swfdec individually and I only see the issue when using flashplugin-nonfree. Then I followed the directions on this thread near the bottom of the first post: http://ge.ubuntuforums.com/showthread.php?t=772490 with the heading "Flash 10 beta" and have installed the flash 10 plugin (just released on Jul 2?). I've been hammering away at the system, using firefox with up to 60+ instances/tabs of the same flash-loaded sites that I've been using previously to reproduce the issue and I have not had a single occurrence.
