I am using -ati (aka just plain radeon), which appears to have had some of the cards previously only supported via radeonhd added to it, correct? Thus, I presume that radeonhd is experimental and will eventually go away as all the cards it supports are added to mainline radeon. Is this correct? If it is not correct and/or you want me to force it to use some version of radeonhd to test this, I am willing to do so.
Also, to answer your previous question, I did try just using the radeonhd driver from your ppa back about mid-June, and the panel brightness did not work. I did not try it more recently, since I was mainly looking for 3D support, and that requires a boatload of other dependencies. -- radeonhd driver does not support changing panel brightness https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214909 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
