Your issue might be a Pipe A problem.
The fix for this issue is to quirk your card to force enabling Pipe A. Please 
regenerate your xorg.conf with the command >>sudo dpkg-reconfigure 
xserver-xorg<< by confirming every question with enter. Afterwards try setting 
the option >>Option "ForceEnablePipeA" "true"<< in your xorg.conf device 
section:

  Section "Device"
    ...
    Option "ForceEnablePipeA" "true"
  EndSection

After a X restart the problem should be gone if it was a Pipe A problem.
