The asterisk.conf file is broken, as the directory settings:
astetcdir => /etc/asterisk
astmoddir => /usr/lib/asterisk/modules
astvarlibdir => /var/lib/asterisk
astagidir => /usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin
astspooldir => /var/spool/asterisk
astrundir => /var/run/asterisk
astlogdir => /var/log/asterisk
belong under the [directories] section, as opposed to the global
section. See main/asterisk.c:2409
