I experience the same problem, but for Persian language (which is displayed wrongly as Farsi language in OOo) that uses the same symbols as Arabic. But it seems that this problem is resolved for Arabic but remains for Persian. Because when I change the paragraph language (from the status bar) to Arabic, random Kashidas disappear. But for Persian language they are there.
