Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gksu
Starting with Hardy, running Wireshark using gksu (or su-to-root or the Network menu) results in Wireshark hanging when it tries to close the Capture -> Interfaces dialog. In other words, every time I click Start or Close on that dialog, the application freezes up. This does not happen when running Wireshark using sudo. This did not occur on Gutsy. wireshark 1.0.0-1 gksu 2.0.0-5ubuntu3 Related: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wireshark/+bug/198884 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=486375 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=478169 ** Affects: gksu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gksu causes wireshark to hang https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/247728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
