Sorry, I was unavailable for a while... It seems you need to enable apport: open a terminal, and 'sudo gedit /etc/default/apport'; change 'enabled' from zero to 1, and save.
Then try again, with a SIGSEGV (kill -SEGV `pidof evolution` should do the trick).
