Public bug reported:

In the dist-upgrade terminal window, there were errors about something
with 'dbus', but I couldn't copy them in time (plus CTRL-C means "cancel
current package install", not "copy", to the terminal).

I installed a fresh, clean 7.10. I installed all the standard non-dist
upgrades from the package manager. I told it to update to 8.04. It did
so, but objected to the linux package and several things that depended
on it, each with a similar dbus error in the terminal window.
