I'm seeing the same behavior on Kubuntu hardy. Ctrl-A opens the "Save as" dialog instead of selecting all the text. Ctrl-S underlines selected text. Only happens in Imporess, not in Writer nor Calc.
These strange settings are set in Tools | Customize | Keyboard.
