Please upload the source package to REVU
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Packages/REVU)
There the MOTUs can review the package in a more productive way and advocate it.

Maintainer is Ubuntu MOTU (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebianMaintainerField), and
you can add yourself as XSBC-Original-Maintainer (that is optional though).
debian/dirs is unnecessary (make install will take care of the directory
creation - usually).
version is 0ubuntu1
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Complete#head-c727185a09bc917152055fddb0b69a2f4d812e60).
launchpad bugs are closed with (LP: #nnnn) .... (Closes: #nnnn) is for debian
Standards-Version is 3.8.0 currently

I'll give it a more precise review, once it is uploaded to revu.
