When using multiple monitors using xinerama and expanding to full screen using windows decoration maximize button in gnome 2.22.2, Firefox 3.0 maximizes filling both screens. Although this may be desireable in some cases, in my case and possibly others it is not.
The commercially available Windows program Thumbsplus offers the option of maximizing it's main window to all screens or current screen for full screen operation. I think this might be a good solution for Firefox, et al.
