Confirming. This seems to have happened as a consequence of the fix to bug 129152. Basically, it appears like Compiz ignores the 'Rows' value in the preferences dialog of the workspace switcher. Say, for example, you set Columns=4, Rows=1 in the workspace switcher preferences, then you end up with 4 workspaces which can be accessed by clicking on the workspace switcher. This behaviour is expected. However, if you set Columns=2,Rows=2, then you only get 2 workspaces but the workspace switcher shows a 2x2 matrix (4 workspaces). The bottom 2 squares of the workspace switcher do not respond when you click them, because there isn't really 4 workspaces. If you disable Compiz (and use Metacity) and set Columns=2,Rows=2 in the preferences dialog, then you get 4 workspaces as expected. ** Changed in: libwnck (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gnome-panel => libwnck Status: New => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - workspace switcher only uses one row + workspace switcher only uses one row (Compiz ignores number of rows defined in workspace switcher) -- workspace switcher only uses one row (Compiz ignores number of rows defined in workspace switcher) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245491 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
