Hi Brett, I just looked on my PC at home and the ttf file is installed :-
Presume from one of the respositories (multiverse or universe) but it comes
from dustimo.com.
libsdl-mixer1.2 is also on my system from www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixer/
BUT I just did a bit of investigation and found this in /usr/share/doc
/libsdl-ttf2.0-0/ readme (on my pc)
"This library is a wrapper around the excellent FreeType 2.0 library,
available at:
http://www.freetype.org/
This library allows you to use TrueType fonts to render text in SDL
applications.
To make the library, first install the FreeType library, then type
'./configure' then 'make' to build the SDL truetype library and the
showfont and glfont example applications.""
So try that let me/us know if it fixes it.
By the way I have a Dapper Kubuntu install
