I also have the same issue on hardy with miro package version 1.1.2-0ubuntu2.
I upgraded from Ubuntu 7.10 (feisty) to 8.04 (hardy) on this machine. However, on another machine that has a clean install of hardy (not a upgrade), the problem does not exist. So I wondered if this problem only appears when Ubuntu was upgraded from a previous version..
