Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

OK. So I have been using intrepid since about 2 weeks after hardy was released,
and until this week I have never experience this issue. The issue started, from
what I can tell with Intrepid alpha one updates.

Here's what happens: when I copy a file *TO* rooted a nautilus folder,
that was started with "gksu nautilus," *FROM* my desktop and then copy
that file back *TO* my desktop, every thing crashes. All the icons
disappear, I cant start any new programs from the menus, i cant reboot.
So far the only way I have been able to restore the system is by
reinstalling.

Heres how to reproduce. Please do it only in a VM unless you really
really really what to kill your system.

1). Install Intrepid Alpha One in a VM.
2). Open a rooted Nautilus by issuing the command "gksu nautilus" from alt+F2
3). Make a file on your desktop, copy it into the "/var" director, now be
prepared, copy that file back to your desktop.
4). Watch as everything falls apart.
5). Reboot, ha now you can't even login at the console.

Thanks in advance for any help in solving this ahead of time. To me this
is a huge BUG, because it limits my productivity by many fold. Please
dont try reproducing this on a production machine.
