Confirmed happening with Asus M2A-VM HDMI (ATI Radeon 1250), with Compiz and
restricted drivers, in Ubuntu 8.04.1
The authatieventsd.sh solution is not working. As with others, closing the
session with Ctrl-Alt-Backspace does the trick.
