@Damiano Dallatana: Thanks for this additional information. Do I understand this correctly? You open update-managaer and it shows you a single update. If you then click on "install" no install window comes up and nothing is installed. It just re-reads the cache and the update is still there? Could you please run (in a termianl): $ update-manager and click on install and add the termianl output here?
