I'v been having 2 related problems on ubuntu hardy x64. Deluge version
0.5.9.3-1

1. First use. No problem.
2. Reboot try to use again. Deluge crashes after a few seconds with the above
message.
3. Workaround found, quickly in those few seconds try to pause all your
downloads. Then it doesn't crash. Go to preferences, change the port range.
4. Next time (after rebooting again) Same problem as (2).
5. Try (3), but gui won't even spawn.
6. output of lsof | grep 8112 :
python 6311 root 3u IPv4 21943 TCP
*:8112 (LISTEN)
7. kill 6311
8. Go directly to (2), don't pass (1), don't receive any bonus...

hope this encourages anyone capable of doing something about it.

ps: this page said: "This bug report will be marked for expiration in 31
days if no further activity occurs." I must say very, very often when I
am bitten by bugs (happens very, very often also), and I look them up
(also very often), I find out that it has been reported like 3 years
before. I can't help wondering: "how comes I'm still being bitten by
this if it has been reported 3 years ago?" Maybe it's an idea to try and
solve them instead of expiring them?

greets.
