Public bug reported: Binary package hint: python2.5-dev
Please see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=839783 I installed Ubuntu 8.04 and performed all necessary updates. Later, when I tried to install python-dev through Synaptic, I received an error: python-dev: Depends: python2.5-dev but it is not going to be installed Well, then I tried to install python2.5-dev. Another error: python2.5-dev: Depends: python2.5 (=2.5.2-2ubuntu4) but 2.5.2-2ubuntu5 is to be installed Looks like python2.5 package had an update from 2.5.2-2ubuntu4 to 2.5.2-2ubuntu5, but other packages that depend on it (python2.5-dev in this case) didn't get updated as well. I have tested multiple repositories, the issue persists. ** Affects: python2.5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- python2.5-dev cannot be installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
