I am confronting this problem "no sound" on HH-8.04 since kernel update to 2.6.24-19. I have received same kernel-update twice!? Gnome warning: no devices detected. WXP-h/SP3 and Linux-Mint-5rv1(2.6.24-19) uses same sound card on my Pc and I got sound.
