This is not a Ubuntu Bug; it is in fact an error with the package
madwifi which ubuntu installs to manage some wireless cards. There is a
branch version of this package that can be used to fix this problem, but
the ubuntu development team does not control madwifi in any way. This
problem will resolve itself when madwifi version 0.9.5 is released, so
posting in this thread will in no way aid or speed up the process of
correcting this error. The status of this thread should from this time
forth be marked as closed until the new madwifi package is released and
added to the ubuntu repositories.

PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS TICKET UNLESS YOU HAVE TRACKED DOWN THE CAUSE OF THE
PROBLEM YOU ARE EXPERIENCING IN THE SOURCE CODE
(This is because the branch version has already been extensively tested and
proven to work, so if any problems arise, they are in all likelihood your fault)
