Setting problem as confirmed as there is a fix and using the method
sorted the problem out - I hope however that someone fixes this pretty
soon as I believe it can have a serious backlash on linux uptake.
Problems like this can overshadow the user experience for novice users.
Had I not used Linux myself for a period of time something like this
would have ticked me off in a serious way, at least I had some patience
and an idea of what went wrong after thinking about it and could solve
the problem.
