re your last post François,

under the pcmcia slot the only thing I've got is an expresscard slot
that can accept 34 and 54 expresscards which are thicker than 1 mm. re
this expresscard slot --> to date I did not use it - a 34 32gb
expresscard is on order - as soon as it arrives I'll try this port and
see whether it is 'tied' to o2 micro.

as I said previously, in my case, the only way to use a bank card
(notice that I use this term instead of smart card to prevent any
confusion) reader is to use an ADAPTER on either one of these two
slots/ports (or any other pc port for that matter --> usb or the other
card reader that in my case is located in front of the pc just beside
the audio connectors) that accepts bank cards; again, as I said, I do
not intend to use any BANK CARDS to be read through any adapters
connected to any ports on this pc, reason ? v simple, safety and
security.

so, if you say that the topic of this thread is JUST for the BANK CARDS
reader .....'I think you use the wrong driver and also post this comment
on a wrong bug.' .......then, as I said, just carry on with the task at
hand --> I'm not interested in making work on my pc any BANK CARDS
readers - simply just disregard my posts that encroached on this bug
opened by you.

the only thing I'm interested is to have fully functional and workable
ports/devices on this pc first, then, and only then, if the needs arise,
start looking into applications such as bank readers, etc, etc.

regards,
peter b
