Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xfce4-utils
The ssh-agent code in /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc unilaterally runs ssh-agent at session start, even when I have commented out the use-ssh-agent line in Xsession.options. This prevents gnome-keyring-daemon from loading my ssh key, leaving an error message in ~/.xsession-errors. This is mainly frustrating because: - It leaves me with no reasonable way to have my ssh key loaded at login time without prompting for a passphrase. - It starts an ssh-agent process that I don't want. - It breaks the system configuration in Xsession.options. The problem was fixed in debian's xfce4-utils 4.4.2-5, but the fix hasn't yet made it into ubuntu hardy. ** Affects: xfce4-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc ignores use-ssh-agent in Xsession.options https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
