I agree, this is gtkmathview problem, but when you just install older gtkmathview there is no insert euqation.
Hezy, I looked at my abiword packages, and I have got, i've got abiword, abiword-plugins from 2.6 and abiword-common from 2.4. I dont know how I did that. But it working with insert equation. I will try repeat this so I could tell you how to work this out.
