Public bug reported:

Using kernel 2.6.24-19-generic, I can import files using f-spot or
gthumb but the creation dates are not preserved. I will raise a separate
bug for this.

Plugging the camera in gives the usual window If I press ignore it should mount
the camera card as a usb mass storage device.
dmesg output.
usb 3-3.1: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
[ 742.975433] usb 3-3.1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[ 776.265084] usb 3-3.1: USB disconnect, address 4

It fails to initialize as a mass storage device etc..

However if I plug in a usb stick dmesg looks like this.
usb 3-3.4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
