A merge would make more sense. I would have done the merge myself, but the devscript merge is still a little outside my current abilities. I submitted this patch just as a temporary fix. Since it has been applied in Debian, it won't make the merge any more difficult. By applying this patch, we will have a fixed Ubuntu version of devscripts in the repositories. Otherwise, we would have to wait until someone performs the merge.
