ATM, apport uses lsb_release to find out the distribution it is running on. Thus adding support for "Origin: Canonial" would be introducing a special case into the code. Certainly possible, but I'd really like to avoid it.
Also, if "the real thing" is not in Ubuntu proper, apport should *not* file bugs against the Ubuntu package in Launchpad, but rather against the upstream project. Thus I see two solutions here: (1) Get the real Landscape client into Ubuntu proper. (2) Add support for filing bugs against an upstream project to Apport, and add an Apport hook to the landscape package to enable bug filing against upstream. Which do you prefer? ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Landscape client crash reports cannot be reported through apport https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217101 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
